Pursuit ends in arrest in Cass County

Wednesday morning, May 15th, 2024, around 2 a.m., Cass County Deputies were called to assist the Kansas City Police Department regarding a vehicle that had entered Belton city limits.

Deputies continued to follow the vehicle as it exited onto C Highway from Interstate 49 in Peculiar. A Deputy successfully grappled the car after it turned west onto Legend Ln. 

This event began with communication from KCPD that the vehicle was involved in a homicide earlier in the day and the driver was possibly armed. The person of interest was handed off to KCPD for further investigation.
