Press Release from the Linn County Kansas Sheriff's Office

On May 05, 2024, at 11:51pm, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a Citizen stating that he had been stabbed. The Citizen stated that he was waiting at a convenience store in Parker, Ks where he was to meet a friend. The Citizen stated that while waiting a white male approached his vehicle and they engaged him in conversation. The white male then forced the Citizen to drive him to LaCygne, Ks. at knife point. During the drive the Citizen abruptly stopped the vehicle and had an altercation with the suspect where the Citizen was stabbed. The suspect exited the vehicle and ran away from the scene. The Citizen returned to Parker and met with Linn County Deputies and medical services.

In the morning hours of May 6, 2024, the white male was located by another Linn County Citizen, the suspect was known to the Citizen and transported to Miami County. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office was notified of this situation. Miami County authorities were notified and located the white male and he was taken into custody. Linn County Sheriff’s personnel transferred the white male to the Linn County Jail where he will await formal charges.

Parker Police responded to assist with the incident.
