The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a 2016 Kia Rio driven by 23 year old Isabella Oltremare of Columbia, Missouri was southbound on the I-49 exit ramp and stopped and turned eastbound onto Missouri 52. A westbound 2006 Harley Davidson driven by 36 year old Nickolas T. Alkire of Butler, Missouri began skidding and struck the Kia.
Mr. Alkire was pronounced dead at the Bates County Memorial Hospital. Isabella Oltremare sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment at the scene of this accident.
