Linn County Incident

 On the afternoon of May 08, 2024, Citizens in the area of Scott Rd. west of Pleasanton, Ks. heard gunshots. Later in the day, Citizens discovered damage to two properties east of the area where shots were heard, the landowners then reported the incident to the Sheriff’s Office. The damage was to a pickup truck and damage to a home.

An investigation was made into the incident and is still ongoing. We have learned that three persons were engaged in target practicing, and possibly were not considering what was beyond their target.

Upon the completion of this investigation, the matter will be provided to the Linn County Attorney, to consider any criminal charges.
