Short Pursuit in Bates County Leads to 4 Arrests

 On April 14th around 2:10 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol conducted a traffic stop after a short pursuit on I-49 which resulted in four arrests in Bates County.


The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 57 year old Christopher James of Independence, Missouri, for Felony Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Also arrested was a passenger in the vehicle 32 year old Samantha M. Inman of Kansas City, Missouri she was arrested for Felony Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Another passenger in the vehicle 46 year old Brandon Haskill of Kansas City, Kansas was arrested for Felony Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

The driver of the vehicle 46 year old Ronald R. Williams of Kansas City, Missouri was arrested on the following charges Driving While Intoxicated 2.) Felony Resisting arrest by fleeing 3.) Felony Possession of a controlled substance 4.) Possession of drug paraphernalia and Miscellaneous traffic charges.

All four were booked into the Bates County Jail in Butler and all are being held on bond.
