Butler Saddle Club Searches for Flag Team

The Butler Saddle Club is searching for riders to be a part of the Butler Saddle Club Flag Team. The flag team is responsible for setting the pivots and carrying the event flags each night of the rodeo. The Butler Saddle Club Rodeo is one of the few rodeos where we set pivots before the events. In past years, the Butler Saddle Club Flag team would do a performance routine 2 nights of the rodeo; one on Friday night to honor our Veterans and on Saturday night to honor breast cancer survivors and for those who are no longer here with us today. We would love to bring those routines back to the rodeo.

We do have some requirements:
~ Must be available all 3 nights of the rodeo. The rodeo is set for June 21,22, and 23 2024 starting at 8pm.
~ Must have a horse
~ Must be able carry a flag and have control of your horse
~ Must be at least 13 years old
~ Must be an experienced rider
~ Riders must be able to learn routines/pace other riders
~ Horse must be able to be fully neck reined
~Rider must be strong enough to carry and handle heavy and tall flags
~Rider must feel confident riding in any weather/arena conditions.
~REQUIRED TO BE AT FLAG PRACTICES-dates TBD
The Butler Saddle Club focuses on the safety of our riders and horses, at times the arena can be muddy/challenging.
If you or know someone who would like to do ride with us, please meet at the Butler Saddle Club Arena on April 29 at 7pm for a short try out session. MUST BRING YOUR HORSE ON APRIL 29.
For any more questions, please reach out to me (Lacey B Lee), Jody Hellwig or anyone else in the Butler Saddle Club.
