Today is the municipal and township elections in Bates County. You will see something you haven’t seen in recent years. The Sheriff’s Office and the Clerks Office has been working together to ensure the safety of election workers, voters and all polling locations. We have decided the best way to ensure everyone’s safety and to support election integrity is to put a deputy at each polling place in Bates County.
We appreciate all the Citizens of Bates County and want everyone to feel safe when casting their votes. You will see this same program in August and November and any future election cycles.
