On February 06, 2024, at 4:20am, a subject came to the Linn County Justice Center, the subject a 61-year-old female had been brutally beaten. Deputies took information from the subject and were able to assist by getting her medical attention. She was transported to a hospital for care and treatment.
Deputies went to the home located in rural Mound City to attempt to locate the persons suspected of the attack. The subject was reported to be the son of the female. At the residence, the male at the home barricaded himself in his residence and would not cooperate with Deputies. Subsequently, more Deputies were called to the scene. The suspected aggressor, Randall Fincher a 40-year-old male, still would not cooperate or communicate with Deputies. A search warrant was written for the seizure of Fincher from within the home. The warrant was signed by a District Judge and Deputies entered the home.
Fincher was arrested from within the home without incident and was taken to the Linn County Jail where he is currently awaiting formal charges.
Fincher should be considered innocent of any criminal activity until adjudicated in a court of law.
