The 6th annual Farm to Fork Summit & Expo will be 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024, in Nevada, Missouri. The regional event brings farmers, businesses, and consumers together to explore the local and regional food opportunity, from on-farm conservation practices to supplying schools and grocers. General admission is $40 online and $45 at the door. Discounted
tickets are available for beginning farmers with 10 years or less of experience
(Use the code BEGIN at checkout). Exhibitor booth tickets include admission.
Highlights include:Opening address, The Joyful Drought Resilient Farm, hot
lunch made with all local food and closing demonstration, The Why and How of
Seed Saving. Educational sessions throughout the day cover on-farm conservation
practices, connecting with customers, food and farm business development and
outlets for local farm products.
Farm to Fork is for farmers who want to know more about
farm-to-fork practices, partners, and possibilities, people and organizations
interested in making local foods an easy, everyday reality, businesses that
make local food work, from supplying seeds to distributing products and communities
interested in good nutrition, good soil, and more farm families on the land.
Event organizers are the City of Nevada, MU Extension, Osage Valley Electric
Cooperative, West Central Missouri Community Action Agency, rural community
development corporation New Growth, and the New Growth Women’s Business Center.
