The Adrian Optimist Club is pleased to honor Students of the Month from the Miami, Ballard, and Adrian schools. Criteria for this honor center on outstanding academic and civic achievement and school spirit. Staff at each of the schools make the selection, and their decision is based on expansion of these criteria. Selection is based on the criteria, but a student stepping up to a particular task will come to play in it. Each student is honored with a certificate of recognition from the Adrian Optimist Club and $20.00 in Adrian Chamber of Commerce “Chamber Bucks.”
September’s student of the month is Chloe Nelson,
daughter of Megan and Michael Nelson. As
a sophomore she enjoys basketball, softball, student council, FFA, and
FBLA. She stays busy when out of school
working at Byrd’s Pecan, on farms with animals, and playing volleyball for the
Piranha’s.
Chloe states her inspiration is her mom. She always pushes me to be my best and fulfill
my dreams. She shows me strength and
bravery after everything she has gone through.
She shows me everyday that there is light despite all of the
darkness. She is my inspiration! Her future plans are to attend State Fair
College to study and become a sonographer.
