A 2 vehicle accident occurred on Thursday, November 16th at
approximately 4:50 pm on 54 highway 5 miles west of Deerfield in Vernon county. The crash occurred as a 2017 Kenworth was
preparing to turn south onto Route T from US 54. The semi turned into the path
of oncoming 1998 Acura and they struck nearly head on. The driver of the Acura 44 year old Travis
Bogart of Milo was transported by Lifeflight with serious injuries and the
passenger 27 year old Bradley Sweat of Nevada was transported by EMS to Nevada
Regional Medical Center. The driver of
the semi was uninjured.
