A reminder for those of you who haven’t paid your Personal Property Taxes, the deadline is quickly approaching. The deadline to pay Personal Property Taxes in person will be Friday, December 29TH at 4:30 pm. Those paying by mail face a December 31st postmark deadline.
To guarantee a post office postmark, remember the deadline iS noon at the Post

Personal Property Taxes can be paid to the Administrative Office on the southwest corner of the Butler Square. There is an outside drop box on the east side of the Administrative building. The Bates County Collector’s Office will be closed on Saturday, December 30th. The drop box will be checked for mail at midnight on December 31st.
Any mail from the outside mailbox at the post office after 12 noon will have
a postmark date of January 2nd and those late payments will be subject to
fines.
The deadline to avoid penalties is Sunday, December 31st at
midnight. Payments must be made at the Administrative building on the Southwest
Corner of the Butler Square.
