Adrian Optimist Student of the month

The Adrian Optimist Club is pleased to honor Students of the Month from the Miami, Ballard, and Adrian.  Criteria for this honor is outstanding academic and civic achievement and school spirit.  Staff at each of the schools make the selection.   Their decision is based on expansion of this criteria, but a student stepping up to a particular task can come to play in it.  Each student is honored with a certificate of recognition from the Adrian Optimist Club and $20.00 in Adrian Chamber of Commerce “Chamber Bucks.”

Miami’s November Student of the Month is senior, Alanah Middleton.  Her parents are Traci Benbrook and Austin Middleton.  Her activities in school include cheerleading and FCCLA.  Earlier this fall, Alanah attended the Region 5 FCCLA meeting in Warrensburg at Hudson Hall with other officers and then attended the State Fall Leadership Conference at Tan-Tar-A in Ozark, MO. She also helps with sewing instructions for her teammates.  She enjoys work and hanging out with friends.

She plans to attend college for a teaching degree.  One of her favorite statements from Vladimir Lenin is:  “Learning is never done without errors and defect.”
