Attention vendors, the Love the
Harrisonville Square organization wants you to be on the lookout for scam activity
on events hosted by local organizations as there has been an increase in it
very recently.
What's Happening: Scammers will
offer vendor spaces at events in the comments section. Most often they will ask
you to message them directly, but may include a link to a google form or other
fake application. They will often request payment for booth spaces through
services like Venmo or Cash App.
The Love the Harrisonville
Square organization will NEVER send an application through direct messages or
request payment to a personal account. ALL applications for vendor events are
processed through their official website and non-profit accounts.
Other non-profit and community
organizations have experienced this as well, so be careful and reach out to the
organizer directly with questions about the application process.
