Martin was born on December 5, 1957, in
Butler, Missouri, to Ralph Levi and Joan Elizabeth Cox Ghere, who preceded him
in death. He lived a life filled with adventure, passion, and a deep love for
those around him.
Martin was a proud graduate of Butler High
School, finishing in 1976, and he briefly attended Southwest Missouri State
University. His education was just the beginning of a journey that would take
him across the country, igniting his love for travel that his parents instilled
in him from a young age. Over the years, Martin would explore nearly every
state in the Union, cultivating a sense of wonder and appreciation for the
diverse beauty of this great country.
A true adventurer at heart, Martin found joy
in the skies, embracing his passion for flying small planes which he and his
father owned. The thrill of aviation was matched only by his enthusiasm for
riding his motorcycle, offering him yet another avenue to explore the world
around him. These pursuits reflected Martin's adventurous spirit and his desire
to live life to the fullest.
Throughout his life, Martin forged meaningful
relationships, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew him. He is survived
by twelve cousins and his very good friend, Carolyn Forhy, who stood by his
side through thick and thin. Their companionship enriched his life, providing
joy and laughter that he cherished deeply.
Martin's life was a reflection of curiosity
and a zest for adventure. He brought light to every room he entered and left a
legacy of memories that will endure in the hearts of his family and friends.
