There are several changes for those attending the Butler Homecoming Parade. The parade route and line-up changed this year. The local businesses, floats, organizations, clubs and churches, and alumni will line up at the middle entrance at the Bates County Fairgrounds. The Butler High School and grade school will dismiss early so the students may attend the parade.
The Butler High School invites you to attend the 2023
Homecoming Parade. This year’s theme is
“ A Wild West Homecoming”. They are
inviting and encouraging businesses to participate in this year’s homecoming
parade.
The parade will hit the Butler Square this Friday, September
29th. The parade line-up time will be 1:30 at the middle entrance of
the Bates County Fairgrounds this year and the Butler High School will join the
parade as they pass the school on Nursery Street.
This year the Homecoming Parade is complimented by the
invitation of past Alumni to prepare a float for their class and ride in the Homecoming
Parade. The Butler Homecoming parade will arrive on the square at approximately
2:00 pm.
The parade will travel from the Bates County Fairgrounds
down Nursery Street to High Street, to pass the Butler Elementary School, turn
onto Ohio Street, and go around the square backwards. This route will not pass
by the west side of the square.
The Alumni at the
Butler High School invite any and all Butler High School graduates to
participate in the parade. Kick-off time
for the Homecoming Game will be at 7:00 pm as the Butler Bears play against the
Buffalo Bisons, on home turf. You are invited to make plans to participate in the Annual Alumni meeting to be held at the Butler
High School on Saturday, September 30th at 1 pm at the school
auditorium.
That’s the Butler Bears Homecoming Parade and Game on
Friday, September 29th.
